Ms. Baerbock, the Leader of Germany’s Green Party, wants to become her country’s next chancellor.
She’s young, attractive and has no real work experience. So, say an amazing number of Germans, let’s make her our Queen. Not as irresponsible as making Trump US President, but ridiculous all the same.
For a while, Baerbock’s approval ratings soared, and it seemed that the Greens could become the senior coalition party in the next government. (The general elections are due on 26 September) Recently, her image and ratings have suffered after it turned out that she had somewhat polished her cv... She will in all likelihood build up her image again. But not becoming chancellor might even be in her own interest.
